Chris Oyakhilome Drops Bible Verse That Committing Adultery With Your Body Is Not The Real Sin

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Nigerian televangelist and General Overseer of Believers’ Love World Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, spoke today on “Family Day Celebration Service” through a live broadcast on his church’s Facebook page. While lecturing on the subject, the pastor quoted a Bible text stating that committing adultery with your body is not the ultimate sin.

Chris Oyakhilome, pastor: “If your hand leads you to sin, the Bible says to chop it off. In the Bible, this is one of the ways Jesus explains sin. The question now is, can your hand or your eyes lead you to sin? No! According to Jesus, it is not what enters you that causes you to sin, but what comes out of you. Remember how the disciples struggled to grasp what Jesus said?

“When the disciples approached Him for clarification, He told them that sin is what arises from the heart. Now consider this: where is the true sin? ‘From the heart springs wicked thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander,’ says Matthew 15:19 (New Living Translation).
